Why Become a Member:
Becoming a member of the Humane Society of Lewisville means you are making a commitment to help support our group and aid in the rescue and treatment of abandoned dogs and cats in our community. As a non-profit organization, HSL's main source of funding is from financial contributions and membership donations. Thousands of animals enter local animal shelters yearly with a very low chance of finding a new home. Your donation will go directly to help abandoned dogs and cats in need allowing HSL to save them from starvation, from sickness, and from death. Your donation will help HSL provide rescued animals with food, spaying/neutering, medical treatment, and a second chance at life! Help the animals by becoming a member of HSL today.

HSL's Continuing Efforts Include:

  • Rescuing abandoned and homeless animals from area animal control facilities, providing them with medical treatment, and adopting them to loving, forever families.
  • Recruiting foster families so abandoned pets have a chance at a new life. Since HSL does not have a shelter, all our animals are placed in foster homes until adopted to a permanent family. The more people willing to volunteer their time and love as a foster, the more cats and dogs we are able to save.
  • Sponsoring a low cost spay/neuter program for animals in need and for animals adopted through HSL. Assisting with emergency treatment of ill/injured strays.
  • Promoting responsible pet ownership through community education.
